I have been submitting at various free directories for my sites and found that the ranking increased dramatically. Hence i have decided to stop submiting my sites to paid directories but concentrate only on free directories? What is your view about it.

If there's a cost-free method to promote your site, that will be submitting your site to free directories . It's a good idea, but some directories require that you return links. That may be alright, it depends on you.
